Had my car in the bodyshop for the following:
tailgate respraying (As it had rust in the corners of sport spoiler)
Rear wing and touched in the door (As removing rubstrips pulled a bit of paint off)
I know it needs a proper wash and back to black on the bumpers, and some autosol on the exhaust but the majority of the car was cleaned by the bodyshop.
Work looks top!
What ya reckon?

Well happy with the car now.

Nice - had you smoothed the boot lock surround? Any reason you've left the wiper hole etc?
Work looks good - from the pics wouldn't know it had had a respray.

I was going to get a semi smooth boot, but I changed my mind and want to retain the standard/subtle look to the car.

The boot lock trim was originally sprayed by me with rattle cans but got it redone with the tailgate when it went in. I left the wiper hole there so I can always fit the wiper back on if I choose to, and personally don't mind the look with the grommet fitted. Looks more standard than a semi smooth boot etc.
Thanks, the pics really don't do the paint job justice

Cheers Whittie, I have a double A-pillar pod with an oil pressure gauge to be fitted. Still waiting on just the oil temp gauge ordered in so I can get the lot fitted.

I don't mean to offend, but how does a grommit look standard? If it wasn't there, then no one would know it was there in the first place and therefore would look standard would it not? Still looks like they've done a good job though!
Get the arches and tops of the bumpers sprayed gloss black along with your door handles Will be mint then

What I meant was keeping the grommet and the boot lock trim etc keeps the standard look more than the semi smooth boot etc, not just the grommet alone. Plus as I say I can re-fit the wiper if I want to.
Yeah the work is mint, will be going back there. Funny you should say that about the bumper tops arches and handles in gloss black, as that is my next plan to get done, along with the Cav GSi wheels professionally refurbed in gloss black. Should look
Cheers.

Or a metallic Anthracite colour on bumper tops/arches etc and wheels would look better now i've looked at the pics longer.
And just a tad lower at the back too

I was toying with 70 or 90mm rear springs as it doesn't quite cut it with the lowness of the front.
Yeah can't decide whether the gloss black would be too much of a contrast against the blue or anthracite will blend in better

Plans sound cool some early Merit Corsa's didn't have a rear wiper (and therefore no hole) as standard

Cheers mate, exhaust is not to everyones taste being a twin 4" job, I personally like it although it needs a good autosol and it sounds quite nice too.
I wouldn't go any bigger with it though.
Cheers.

80mm springs from coilsprings.co.uk would be best imo.

Good point, I remember seeing one in Tesco now, a 5 door with no wiper hole. I did ask about it when I took the car in, but it was going to be an extra £60 so I thought, nah I don't mind it with the grommet I'll save £60

Again, no offence, but the exhaust is too boy racer ish A single 3 or 4" would be more appropriate with the styling of the car.

None taken, each to their own I guess although I really don't mind it although it does seem to attract spotty chavs driving on my ass
