anyone every been to get tax and used a cover note?? need to insure the car tmoz morning and obviously need something to prove when i tax the car.. anyone had and problems with this... it says it needs to have the insurance's stamp or initials to be accepted.. will i have anyproblems as they said they would send it via fax....

I would say just do it online but i'm not sure if you would get done for not displaying your tax? Mine came in 3 days but you've got a weekend coming up so obviously would be longer

has to be original will.

they dont accept faxes or emails. well we usually get customers calling to complain about it. just get heffalump to send it 1st class or tax online ftw. my mate done it and used the car before it came, just be carefull where you park

well it says on dvla website cover notes are only if there initialed or stamped by insurer... i cant tax online because i only have the green slip the v5 didnt reach dvla some how... apparently got lost in post... what would happen then if i get stopped with no tax, also can i not just get the people at the post office to talk to the insurance or sumthing?

Well its all sorted, chatted up the post office lady and she accepted it lol. and wow the gti is very fast!
