No that needs a regas.

Halfords sell a DIY tin for 40 quid but kwik fit will do it for you for 45 quid.

lol, halfords regas kit!!!

how can that little bottle measure how much youhave in there, and fill it sufficiently ??

the average car takes around 800-900g of refrigerant.

does your compressor clutch click in when u pres the button jas?

You use a pressure guage to measure how what the pressure is then fill it until it's the correct pressure.

For the extra fiver i'll go to kwik fit though.

it goes off weight though, not pressure...

PS: i charge £50+ vat for a aircon diagnostics sech, which includes:
removing old refrigerant, vaccume testing the system, re-oiling the system + adding a tracer dye for any potential leaks.

make sure you dont get a untrained muppet at quickfit doing ot for you.

we had the rep in today from the company that supplies a certain 'fast-fit' garage with their equipment, his exact words were:

"they have bought all of the best machines and only paid for a 3 hour training course, the kids doing the work dont have a f*cking clue, one of them only connected up the input gas line and pumped in 1/2 a bottle of refrigerant"
