It was the first year for the BHP Performance show at Lydden Hill. I had 3 track sessions booked, the day was quite badly organised though and I got sent out half way through one session before I was due to go out and ended up only getting about 8 mins, an arguement later and I had another free session - result, so did four sessions altogether.

The circuit is so much fun, more fun than combe, its nice and tight and I had my way with alot of really powerful cars. These included a few skylines including one red and white one which the owner claimed 700bhp and apparently ran 9.3s before... One caged impreza that I had a good scrap with, a few 200sx's, Fiesta STs, Porsche Carrera RS, Time Attack Civic that was stupidly slow, Sierra Cosworth. Etc etc! Accordingly I got alot of attention off the track, most people couldnt believe you could go so fast for so little money. Think my proudest moment on the track was overtaking an old chap driving Russell Brookes original works Lotus Sunbeam from 1981, the driver was very impressed with me.

All in all ive definately regained confidence in myself since Combe and definately had an ego boost following all the positive feedback ive had.

Shame not to see any familiar CS faces there, although it was good to catch up with Birchieboy whos car is looking, and sounding amazing as ever. Here are just some of the pics, unedited so far, all taken by my brother. Enjoy...

A WR event is a must, also bearing in mind most people are south east based.

Its in some of the pics Ash. Andrews sponsorship with Heat for hire written on it. Its the original works livery. The guy had just got back from competing in a historic rally in belgium in the car.
