Ive had problems with MSN for 3 years

I cant get on MSN 7.0 7.5 or windows live messenger

the shitty one tha comes with XP works fine though???? I cant have a picture

well ive just been on my other comp and it works fine, but on this one hotmail and msn wont work. what could cause this?
