as u prob know dad passed away around christmas so mum has sold the far at auction which went well and we have the sale of other items last friday which also went well, monday i had mass car was, 5 cars in total and put both dads old lotus on ebay for sale:-

the lotus excel
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1985-LOTUS-EXCEL-BLACK_W0QQitemZ220229417216QQihZ012QQcategoryZ43114QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

and the JPS esprit
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1979-JPS-LOTUS-ESPRIT-BLACK_W0QQitemZ220229437961QQihZ012QQcategoryZ43114QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

washed brothers car also which i painted for him, most unlucky car i know, had to paint bumper 3 times in 2 months cos people keep catching it......

the corsa, which i will sell when we move out the farm:-

and mums everyday car:-

which we bought 2years back as cat d write off and was total bargin, was 8 months old when we bought it and repaired and with eibach lowering springs, 17inch alloys and fully repaired with 1800 miles on the clock it has cost under 4k! been a great car but always let down by colour:-

soooooo

u guess it, i asked mum if she wanted me to paint the car as my final project..... she said it would be nice for final car to de done at the farm to be hers..........

so yesterday morning stripped it and masked it up and primed it last night, rubbed down primer at 12midnight.......

any the colour your thinking .................

in memory of my dad it seem fitting to make the most of wot i had, soooo 8 tins of paint with left overs in the main colour being a one off sonic blue that i had bought from another car, wanted to make plenty of paint so if a repair is ever needed i will have spare paint!

paint from 8 tins in total and 7 projects went into it and also added pear additives to boost the pear content, colour is really nice!

just gotta pop to get some thinners in a min and then car will be painted today, nibbed and buffed tomorrow hopefully and then put back together over the weekend between work!

will keep u updated, gonna miss doing these projects and getting your reaction!

I agree, it can't be easy, but something that has to be done I guess.

Good luck n'all.

me and me bro live at the pub and have done for 12 months so mum is rattling round in the house its way to big, farm prices are shockinly high also so it sold really well and easily! sold all the corn from last years harvest, its amazing how well dad left the far considering he didnt know wot was gonna happen, everything was tidy! didnt have to tidy anything for people to come round looking with view to buying!

miss him a stupid amount but thats not gonna bring him back! just gotta remember the good memories! plenty of them with dad!

mum is just moving into rented house for 6months till she descides wot she wants to buy, with being farmers wife she always just had the house that goes with the farm so never been able to choose wot she wants, or where she wants to live!

she is doing really well tho, busy sorting the house out at the min!

got me thinners, off to start painting car now

Sorry to hear about your dad mate :-(

As for the farm - shame your having to sell up too, such an awesome house with the land and all those outbuildings!

Will have a trip over one weekend to the pub if your working/not working - will drop you a text.
