I'm in court tomorrow...
Up for dangerous driving, but i'm hoping to get it reduced to careless, or hopefully just a speeding. I've got a feeling thats not going to happen though.

Was clocked doing an average of 93mph on the dual carriageway for a distance of 0.3 miles. There was quite a bit of rain earlier so there was some standing water on the road. The police say because of the road conditions i should be charged for dangerous driving.
It was late at night and I only saw another 3-4 cars on the road for the whole 15 mile journey. I didn't think i was putting myself in danger and to be honest I felt quite confident driving at those speeds.
Even though the police thought I was driving dangerously they decided not to pull me over, or try and put a stop to my driving.
I came off the dual carriageway and came down the B977 (i think thats the name) to come into Stonehaven. Its like a 3 mile long slip road that turns from a one way road into a two way. I encountered a very slow moving car. It was sitting at about 15-20ish mph. I waited a while and when i thought it was safe to overtake, i did.
The problem is, the police said i crossed double solid white lines.
Since then, i've retraced my steps down that road heaps of times and i know for a fact that i didnt' cross the lines.
The police don't have any video evidence, so its just my word against theirs, but you know how that normally goes.
The copper that pulled me over actually said to me, "I'm going to do everything i can to get you off the road!"

it is your ignorance and naivety that has got you into this mess. you were speeding excessively and there is no excuse, face up to it.

I am facing up to it. I'm accepting driving at speeds in excess of the speed limit, but i still don't think i should be getting charged for dangerous driving.
I feel that i am quite a good driver to be honest, and i am certainly more than capable of driving at those speeds in a straight line. Even in those conditions.
I know the road very well and i knew where i was likely to find standing water.
I also had the car running in the middle of the two lanes to minimise the chance of hitting any water.

Fingers crossed you'll just get 3 points and a fine. Have you had any points previously?
Be polite and own up to what you've done and you'll be fine.
If you get done for dangerous driving just say 'have you never diven at 90mph whilst its raining'

I have 3 points for a defective tyre, but those points coming off my licence in a few months.
2 weeks ago i got banned for 3 months. That was for speeding.
I was doing 86 in a 50. I thought i was allowed to do 60 but beacuase of the type of vehicle i was in i was restricted.
I was out doing deliverys and i was on a 1.5-2 mile straight and i thought i'd try and make up some time It ended up costing my about 20mins in the back of the cop car.

I got pulled once. Was followed for 3 miles in the early hours of the morning. A had a nearly bald tyre, and was apprently doing 60 in a 40 and 40 in a 30.
Police let me off, think they were about to knock off their shift! I was very lucky! Got the tyre sorted next morning though
