today doing sprocket stalls and axle grinds on the bike i obliterated my chain tensioner.

So to fix tension problems i removed a link out of my chain making the rear wheel slammed and wheelbase as short as possible.

Only problem is is that when i tighten up my rear wheel it adds more tension (due to bolts spinning thus moving the wheel), even when i put it against a wall to tighten it tensions more.

The chain is just about before dangerous levels, i can still move it, allthough not totally freely about a cm up and down. Is it safe to ride a lot without it breaking?

Ps my chain is a shadow halflink, so stronger than average chains.

im suprised your chain hasnt exploded.

Yeh i always carry my tool. need it for getting the wheel off normally anyway cos of the chains tightness! lmao.

Yeh its chuckable. I like to ride cut down bars but lots of people find them too thin.

And no, linear brake all the way - love tapping stuff andim not doing it brakeless!

short 20" top tube macneil heaton frame
8" rise bars cut down to about 23" across,
Shadow Conspiracy Half link chain
Odyssey cassette rear wheel (Alex Supra E double wall rim)
Front alex small flange hub (years old!) on another supra E rim
FBM 33t sprocket
Primo Powerbite Cranks with titanium spindle
DMR V12 open bearing pedals
Fly Bikes Bars (cant remember the riders name who designed them)
Primo 'The wall' tyres
Odyessey linear brake and cable
Goldfinger Brake lever
Demolition Team grips
Demolition Seat
Shadow Conspiracy Lightweight seatpost
F-it Bikes Stem
Cane creek headset
SnM pitchfork Forks

Been riding the same set up for 2 years now, resprayed the frame twice, and nothings ever let me down apart from my front rim (only just rebuilt the front wheel 3 days ago), my old un-named headset
and gone through a fair few pairs of grips
