vondelpark, theres a hostel, its about a 10 min walk max into the square (about £12 a night b&b)
stonned probs 1/2 - 1 hour walk depending
you can get the tram everywere anyway.
some real nice coffee shops near by too

got back from there monday night after being there for 5 days!!!
try the winston hotel, perfect location and not that bad price wise. the rooms are mental aswell 
im having withdrawl symtoms

You dont get aids/stis from sleeping with prostitutes
There is still things to see and do (ok not as many as other city breaks) but the nightlife is still good, some big clubs out there.
Not exactly cheap though, go somewhere less commercial like Croatia, Budapest or Poland. I want to go to Kiev

That's probably true, it would be dull. Although, you're not gonna get aids from a hooker. It's all legit over there and regulated properly.

I was going to go with a few mates back in jan, we'd of been stoned to fuck most days and just sit mashed in some coffee shop all day.

No there isnt much to do, sex museum, zoo, Amsterdam ArenA tour, anne franks house (dont do it stoned for gods sake, its a terrible place to get the giggles  ), boat trip... not much else

yeh if you dont like smoking pot imo wouldent really appeal to me.
there isent a hell of a lot to do other than get stonned but if thats wat ur into its amazing.
the clubs there are actully ment to be very good, but after having a few smokes going to a club seems like a silly idea.
and i dont think the hookers there are dirty aid ridden skanks, think its all pretty safe over there
