What if it's going in for a day, or a week, or 2 weeks?

Luckily, i get all my work done on my driveway and only have to take the car to a garage for MOT and when tyres are being fitted. I will stay with the car even if i have to wait.

great way to explain how recent it has been broken is to check for road dustdirt on the crack line. If its old and has been missed then it should have grit on the crack.
Just a thought.

i must admit though, some garages around here will refuse a car that is mm off the ground.
Maybe a genuine mistake that they did not realise happen?
Unfortunately you may have to foot the bill for the repair

Contact Trading Standards. Is it a main dealer? If so, write to the Head Office too.

When I worked at a Vauxhall dealership, one of the mechanics drove a T8 Astra on to the ramps and cracked one of the front arches. Wasn't his best moment.
