Had some guy do some welding on my car for MOT recently and he mentioned he did body repairs. Thought I would give him a ring to see if he could just weld the plates in. He said do I want him to do the filler work and the paiting, I was a bit iffy because it wasnt a body shop just a guy with a fairly big garage. I asked how much and he said 70 quid so even if he fecks the paintwork up its still a good price.
He did ask tho if the paint for my car was base laquer? any know? I just said its black and I would want a few coats of laquer.

he meant was it base coat n lacquer or direct gloss

well if he fecks it up I will say summin to him, I only wanted the welding done and that would of been £50 so I think it worth the extra £20 to see how good he his.
