Hey,

Whilst i was at the gti spring festival yesterday i thought i'd buy a 3/4 plate as it was only £10. Got it fitted today but the sticky velcro i have isn't that sticky so for the time being i've put the standard back on.

Im on my mobile so you'll have to click my avatar to view the picture.

What do you think?

Thanks

1) Attracts unnecessary police attention
2) The recess is that size for a reason
3) As stated, straight would be a start.

Just my thoughts

Well i'd only quickly stuck it on to take a picture lol

Im only really going to use it for shows and pictures. Thats why i used velcro instead of something stronger

Looks better, even more so if it was straight
Plus i know of a number of people who stick them on with velcro WTF. Do you not think about people taking them

Mines stuck on with some super sticky trim tape and has been so for quite a while now and touch wood ive had no trouble from the police
MOT people just covered mine up while it was in their possession

They are too big IMO and 3/4 sit in the recess a lot better

velcros the better option IMO, wish i'd done that now, especially when i want to swap to show plates. I used 3M sticky tape, now i'm never going to get them off

Cheers Marc. Well like i say i only quickly stuck the plate on to get a picture as the standard plate is back on for now.

I wanted a way i can easily switch the plates over. I texted Mark Lawton and he said he used velcro and the only problem he's had with his plate is that his mates turn it upside down lol

It's not there to look good. Function over form and all that.

Looks daft in a full-sized recess IMO.

Looks stupid in the big recess.

Either have a normal plate or have the balls to take it away all together and smooth the bumper.
