had one, excellent car. 2.2s have bigger rims 17s as oppsoed the 1.8s 16s.
TBH if you cant stretch to the turbo i wouldnt bother with the 2.2 - more money for nothing except higher insurance.
pretty solid cars really.

Oh ok I thought there was a bigger performance difference than that.
Mike are you sure the 2.2s come with 17s?
I thought only the turbos did.

iv put these down on my shortlist for next cars, been told there arnt the fastest by any means, but them thye just have a presence about them and they look like they would be very comfortable to drive

Don't worry about the 0.2 sec faster. It's the whole drive of the car that makes it better.
2.2 all the way over the 1.8.

Its on my short list for my next car too! Only 1.8 though. Just want a stylish car next (gay ) Im not spending all my money trying to run a fast car at my age! More to life then spending £250 a month insuring a little shitty french hatch going to work and back and nipping to a few mates house at weekend
