Anyone else find that people tend to overuse LOL quite a bit?

I would only use it when something is funny, or to purposely take the piss, but girls especially say it for just about everything

example msn convo:

I hate this, i now says lulz I find that when people start actually saying 'lol' out-loud in conversations, they have issues

i cant stand its use in Help Zone....ie

"im sorry, i dont much about cars lol, what is that? lol"

why is it funny? its a help forum....we (those helping) expect those posting to be stuck i dont judge those who have no experience, if anything i am more annoyed at those who say the above and more likely not to reply
