After they have been our for years i've only ever sat in a new one and been impressed with the slick gearshift and the position of the knob etc.I also really like the way they look especially in the Nighthawk black.

It was just a matter of waiting in work till one came in as we get pretty much everything else so i was made up on friday when i spotted an 05 plate in cosmic grey sitting in our compound

When i got a spare second i grabbed the keys and took it for a quick spin!!

And

Errrrrrrrrmmmmmmmm

WTF What's all this VTEC shit about?!

The only thing i could tell that happend at about 7K the engine note changed a bit but that was it no extra speed or push or nothing.

The steering didn't seem right either..really detached feel.Other than that with me driving my car most things i drive now don't feel overly quick and this was pretty much the case with the CTR.I'd rather have the 182 as i thought the engine feels much more muscular and the handling is amaizing or even a Fabia VRS!

Funny though as i loved the Honda S2000

#Disclamier# I am NOT saying scoobys are the best cars in the world etc this is just my opinion of a popular car.

Seriously though Steve i couldn't have been less impressed

I really wanted to like it though as i've wanted one since they came out! Maybe with a supercharger it would be a lot more fun.

When I drove one I liked it felt speed wise it was dead level with the 182 I had also test driven. Steering is a little light but still nice imo

Drives supercharged Tec with torque

I suppose it's down to personal taste mate. You can't argue that the clio is a better drivers car though.

Alan every car disappoints you..............until something disappoints you more then its alright really.

ps. CTR's are ok, I know of one with a Jackson Racing SC that reels in all the scoobs & evos on track, even in the wet!

There also shit in first and second gears, spin up far too much. Love the interiors though.
