Went up last week end and got a few pics not many and not the best quality but didnt go for pictures went for the trails wich were AMAZING was such a good day out, 1st time some were like this and wont be the last, done all the black runs and were really good, and challenging, dam cramp kicked in just over half way through left my hydro pack behind wont be for getting that again, any one else been and what you think?

You'll love it im definatly going up again, one of the first black runs a row of jumps are amazing we must of spend around 3/4 hour on them, soon as you go over a table top you go straight into a sharp berm down to the right and the trail carry's on is SO SO GOOD want to invest in a helmet cam to think would be pretty cool to get some footage of the fast single track

Im just starting to get back into biking so wont be hitting the black runs at first! Will be going on the intermediate runs first

Those single track decking tracks look cool, are they black run only?

There not as bad as they sound because you can go as fast an or as slow as you want whih is what i like but after a couple you'l be flat out, i i remeber rightly the decking it just to get over some boggy land so isnt any of the runs just a route upto a fire road were you then go red or black, one thing i did come away wantinh though is 5" full suser to saok up the trails abit better feel i'd improve alot if i ot one saying that its my first proper outing

the problem with black runs is they are not similar. Some black runs are full on scary others are just rollable with little no experiance required.

I find it best to do a lot of research into the place you are going to get an idea what to expect. You tube is good as is the various bike forums.

Coed Llandegla and Llandegla I would consider the black routes as more challenging red routes. Where as Cwm Carn black route is very challenging.

Cheat and walk up them about half if not more of the people we sore were walking them it's ok at the begining but when you get half way + through and getting tired it's easier to walk and conserve your energy for the the runs, when we went to session a run we had just been down we just walked back up the fire road 9/10 it'll take you straight back to te begining or at least not far off
