I know where mike is coming from I used to (well still have it) a rc car that I raced in some club, and the chassis cost a fortune, needed special highly tuned motors (that required rebuilding fairly often), special tyres, different springs etc etc...
got a bit rediculous. Took it outside one day like in those vids, had the wrong tyres for the road (so it was super slippery like their drift style but worse) and it just scratched the whole bottom of it to fuck.
Still got it upstairs tho, I want to go dig it out day and play with it, but I wouldn't want to be seen in public playing with a RC car

Notice the 'low budget' shit I put on it, like low tech switch and crappy reciever etc

I had a ferrari 360 body for it, but i wrecked it and got this one

have you seen when they put rubber bands on the tyres and you can get lots of smoke coming off them

thats the word i was after (i think) either way its the long bit that goes from the car itself to the wheel to make it spin
with talk like that i could be a mechanic

all 4 or just rear?
looking at the vids it looks like it's 4 wheel drifting... hence just sliding sideways.
