I'm on Betfair and got a bit confused.

I want to bet on a 1 or more goals result, so I clicked the best odds available.

Then in the Place Bets window it inserted that option with an editable box for 'Your Odds'

I'm only betting a small amount, but whats stopping me from changing the odds to 10 for example and making a killling?

I am obviously missing something vital, but what?

Not done much betting before as you can tell

Someone has to match the odds you put and only a fool would match high odds for one goal or more. I think

Yeh, you would need some idiot to "Lay" you and act as the bookmaker, and at 1 goal or over at those odd's it would have to be a Grade A idiot!
