For those of who that watched skins tonight, you'll have noticed what happened to chris.

Well, because of a hereditary condition i'm at quite a high risk of having what chris had; a subarachnoid haemorrhage (basically when blood vessels in the brain burst which normally causes irriversible damage ie. a stroke or death).

Unless I get his by a bus or something, I reckon this is how I will leave this world. It happened to my granny, my uncle and my mum.
My uncle is the only one who survived the haemorrhage. Actually, somehow he managed to survived two.

I know skins isn't real, but it got me thinking about how short life can be and how one minute you can be fine, the next, you're not. So i've decided to make a few life changes...
I'm going to stop smoking, i'm going to stop all the drugs, i'm going to keep up the exercise and try and turn my life around - health wise.

Sorry for the random post, but i just felt like making it.

Good luck.

I remember when your mum passed away and I read up a bit on it, as I had no idea.

Is quite scary - but well done for making changes to your lifestyle.

Sorry to hear that As Timbaland said, its not fair when someone young and innocent (so to speak) dies.

Thanks to everyone for the support and praise (not really the words i'm looking for, but close enough)
I think now that i've said it aloud and even put my goals in writing they'll be easier to stick to... hopefully

Good luck with it mate.

I was working at a blokes house a few weeks ago who had something similar, hes a chauffeur and had just dropped someone off and walking back to his car he collapsed and then spent a month unconscious and then woke up, but he survived so its not all bad.

it makes you think about what you have achieved in life and shows you that there is soo much more to do... going to the pub and getting smashed is not achieving anything. running marathons raising money stuff like that... thats achievement and als halping others.

when my mate died last year that was when it all changed for me and i started to realise that i'd achieved nothing!
