so ya know how the goverment have done away with the lowest tax rate, does that mean i will get about 1/3 taken off for tax now ?

best thing to do mate is speak to you employee and sort it out, not too sure about much more

Yeah, you will loose a good bit on emergency tax but you get it back. Just not very convenient.

oh well i aint lost anything on my tax on my last pay slip as it was 1st payday and at the end of the tax year. hopfully its sorted for neext month

Yeah like timbaland said if your on emergency tax for a few weeks/months you can claim it back anyway, so you'll get a decent amount back in one.

Just dont do what i done and forget about it and get taxed for 2 and 1/2 years on emergency tax.

Saying that, £2800 is a nice gift lol.


Edit: Just checked, it was £2200, I always thought it was closer to 3k.

Your employer isnt/shouldnt allow you to be on an emergency code for such a long time tbh.

Apparently when they realised it they said its my issue.

I got my money and thats all i was intrested in really, but still inconvienient none the less.

no its not 489L has now changed to 522L.
