Wanting a bit of info really as i'll be getting one in the near future when I can drive again.

Whats the insurance groups on these? mpg?

Anyone have one? are they reliable?

How much are they going for these days?

Lastly, anyone know the figures, bhp, torque etc?

Thanking you

group 6.
50- 55 mpg, i've heard some say 60.
A mate had one, i thought it looked decent - he had it standard apart from suspension. It went pretty well too!
Last time i looked they were around 5500 to 6 for a low miler.
100bhp, 0-60 in about 10 and 177lbs/ft

the tuning boxes on these only up the fuel pressure, not the boost so they tend to blow black smoke and run rich. they often put a warning light up on the dash as well.

ask GSI16v on here, his lost power with the tunning box and they cant be mapped atm due to the type of ecu ?

the way thing's are going with fuel prices it would be just as effective to run a 1.4 sri or even 1.8

I had a tuning box on my 1.3, I know they don't up the boost but that doesn't mean you don't get good gains, felt like a totally different car to drive.

Tuning box on my fabia, not as good as the remap as it didn't alter boost but still a massive difference over standard.

The people losing power with a tuning box can't have the proper thing.

I was tempted to get a corsa sri diesel until I drove my new polo, its older (53 plate) but so much better to drive, 10x better inside, easily mapped (mine makes 148 bhp and 267 ft/lb) and cost around 5k.
