lookin on the website, it does look professional though. does anyone have any experience with this site? cheers

Yea I used it, I scanned in a picture of my driving licence and emailed it to them, they emailed back within 20 minutes to say I had been accepted.
Its just so they can make sure he is over 18.

Saying that i was paying in using a debit card and you have to be 18 to have one so im guessing they didnt need it.

I got banned from betfair and i'm not too sure why to be honest?
It's a fair concept, it works like a stock market, you can work both sides of the fence as playing a bet on something to happen or not happen (as the punter or the bookie)
I think someone said the other day it can be used well by using it to place bets to cover bets you've placed on traditional bookies.

If you register with sumit other than a credit card it does that , only way to prove your over 18, i bet he registered with paypal.
It does say when you open an account that if you use sumit thats not a credit card they will require proof of ID.

If the card he used it one which an under 18 can have, he will need to send proff of age. Most if not all online bookies casino's require this these days.

Asked me to do that or you can just deposit some money from a credit card instead.
I just added £2 from mine and then withdrew what I wanted

Yea, I used Paypal as I had some money in there from selling on ebay, so they required my proof of ID.

Nothing dodgy, it's just an age check, it's possible to check on the electoral role if you are registered with the address you have provided but they are probably being lazy, we just look at the electoral role
Since the new gambling laws late last year, everything is more strict, nothing dodgy though mate, it's the biggest betting exchange in the world
