Gun it is then.

All breeds of bull terriers SHOULDNT be allowed to be kept as pets, they're a hunting dog not a dog to be around families.

I think there's enough dead children for it to not need any expansion.

stop thinking you know it all and slating the dog,
its simple, i have a dog, you probally dont,
i couldnt get my dog to bite anyone but myself (i mean when playing about with mates not attacking people),
when you own a dog you understand that its about who brings the dog up and how it is brought up, you give a dog lots of love and it will do nothing but lick you to death, get a dog mate before you slate them of there breed

need to disaplin him more, like when treating him mak him sit and stay - if he doesnt - move the treat away.

Any dog can be trained, but ust be done early. There isn't many "Evil" dogs its more about their up bringings -remember it just wants feeding and a lazy life - work on it. )

I think its fairly uneducated to say that its to do with who they are around OR what breed it is.

It can involve lots of factors.

but its like a person. no matter what punishment you hand out to a person if they are a violent person they are a violent person. same with a dog. you cant make a placid dog into a raving man eater by being 'mean' to it. Although it could happen. it depends how the dogs personality adapts for the variants. One could be a hard knock and one could be a lap dog. its really a case of what they feel like doing depending on what their personality warrants. breed can be a factor. so can treatment. but you cant pidgeon hole it into simpler terms.

They are the most interesting, Varied creatures you can get for your home.

I have an african scorpion and two japanese fire salamanders, and its like a gradient of intelligence. The scorpion is like a small machine. has next to no personality. strikes if threatened. has basic intelligence and instinct to kill. the salalmanders can solve basic problems. like if you put a transparent box of crickets in the tank they try to find a way in. they dont just strike at the box like the scorpion would. then youve got my dog. Thats a completely different kettle of fish. complete new level of personality and intelligence. a lot more unpredictable and clearly has different moods from day to day. yorkshire terrier could be most playfull thing in the world. one day, be in a bad mood. kid pulls its tail and things get out of hand. bit more complex than 'it was the owner' but still.

Ive had dogs all my life, various breeds but mainly large breeds such as german sheprds and great danes.
Yea it does have alot to do with how dogs are bought up but staffy bulls and simialr breeds are usually bought by the same mentality of people, chavy council estate type. People can say im being steriotypical but thats the way it seems to be.

Im not saying all hunting breeds shouldnt be kept around families and small children but the small temprament breeds should be watch with a very close eye.
