Our local radio station 'coast fm' caused loads of damage 2 or 3 years back.....

They said that some of the sewage pipes were blocked, and were in an awkward place to get to. So please could everybody at 11am flush the toilet twice.

Created a few burst pipes, but the council never took them to court etc

Still, I thought it was a good one

i remember herewood (sp) radio in peterborough getting a load of people to phone in about a speed limit being changed with a speed camera on it, the police had changed the speed of the camera but the council had not changed the signs so EVERYONE was getting flashed! that one worked well!

essex fm announed that the school uniforms were all changing to the same colour as of september, parents were ringing in ranting and raving that it would cost them so much money etc, they announed a couple of hours later that it was actually an april fools. people really were getting worked up
