which one would you go for and most importantly WHY?
Basicaly looking to spend an absoloute maximum of £12k
Pros and cons:
BMW pros:
321bhp short wheelbase RWD
Its a bmw
Its pre 2001 good for tax
Most have been garaged all their life so 2nd hand are great buys
Done most of its depriciation so should hold onto some value
Topless motoring
Rare car
Great chassis
Cons:
Its considered gay by people who dont know its 321bhp rwd and usualy drive a corsa
Lack of indicators
Expensive on fuel
Expensive if it goes wrong
Very small
Road noise aparently is loud
Old car
Audi TT 225
Pros:
Its a mk4 golf
More refined than the bmw
Newer car
Got a big boot
Cheap on fuel/insurance
"4x4"
Tuning options/upgrades
Cons:
Its a mk4 golf
Jr wont like me
Hard to find a decent fairly priced one
Possibly gayer than the bmw
Not as fast/exciting as the bmw
What would u choose and why??
I cant decide for shit.
P.s Anyone wanna buy an Astra?

If it was me I would go for the BMW purley just because of the looks, also it has an impressive bhp figure and its rwd so will be more "fun" to drive. Also it's a BMW so it going to be reliable. The running costs might be more expensive than TT but IMO is a lot more impressive and rarer!

One is fast, exciting, rare, good looking and has a superb, adjustable chassis. It wouldn't be driven by your auntie.
The other is much slower, has the chassis off a MK4 Golf and is therefore soft and dull. It isn't rare, and could quite easily be driven by a typical auntie who has no idea about cars but bought one because "They look nice."
M Roadster without a shadow of doubt. Completley different animal to the Audi.

i hear you with the 2 different animals. The TT however has the advantage of refinement space and cheaper costs of ownership. Thats the dillemma. If its not uber fast its gotta be comfy and luxurious which a TT has.
Just cant decide what to do!

i've just not been that impressed with bmw's, the audi is a nice all round car, you'll sell it on easier, comfier, easier to tune etc. if you want 321bhp rwd bmw buy an m3

Go and test drive them both.
The BMW will be the better car, but I am biased. Have you checked parts prices out? Anything non-M specific is actually really cheap (im talking cheaper than vauxhall for some things) but some M parts can be a little pricey. but overall they are pretty cheap cars to run.
Do you know about Vanos on the BMW?
Go out and drive some, dont ask on a forum!

having owned a TT and now drive a BMW - although not a raodster I owuld own the roadster
The only thing is that M parts are so expensive
Hovever TT's do have electrical issues
also remap will only make it as fast as it shopuld have been from the start
