Mines doing 26MPG don't know why though, runs fine is there anything that will make it do that eg air flow meter because they seem to go alot. Has anyone else's done this i can usually get around 38-40MPG
P.S not sure if this is help zone material

I also find that they arent very economical when it comes to motorway miles as they have to sit at such a high rev

Get a diagnostic test done.

Mine does that too, I've changed allsorts and nothings fixed it, I've just learned to live with it now tbh, mine's not doing great on fuel atm but my AFM's knackered, it got to the point a while ago where I was getting 260-280 to a tank, but I was changing that much stuff at the time I don't really know what was causing it.

I usually get between 340-380 when it's running right, although I've had 430 out of it once on a run

What are these cars like on motorways because you are doing 4.000rpm at 80 miles an hour does this harm the engine at all and what is the MPG like then ?

The best consumption I've had was 430 miles out of a tank, that was a long run then a bit of around town driving. I probably spent at least a quarter of the long run between 90 and 100, so between about 4.5k - 5k

Mine's on 68k now, and I've only had my AFM playing up, I've plenty of faith in it to carry on a lot longer
