how has everybody got their audio and video connections wired up on their ps3s?

my tv doesnt have hdmi but has dvi input so i can get a hdmi-dvi adaptor but am i correct in thinking that this only carries video and not audio?

in which case, my tv does not have an optical audio input so how the hell am i gonna get my sound wired up

any ideas?

yeah its got red/white rca inputs as thats what my 360 sound channels are wired up to at the moment

does the ps3 have red/white sound outputs?

The ps3 has phono outs yes, you can run dvi and the phonos.

Or run dvi then optical to an amp.

Next to the dvi port there will be an audio jack point.

This will work.

Just plug this in to your tv and then the red and white jacks from the ps3 into the red and white jacks from the tv...I have dvi, seems pointless

Just plug it in the scart? That carries audio and comes with the PS3

Then you'd be using scart instead of dvi though.
