Hi guys, hope you all had a good weekend.

I lowered my car 40mm (possibly 50mm) this weekend and i still have steelies on, got to work this morning and we have two speed bumps. got the front wheels over then CRUNCH then over the second one CRUNCH, not good

So i think im going to have to park my car outside the business park and walk down,lol

p.s sorry for the random thread but it did my head in,lol

haha, cheers mate, it didnt sound good at all. they are only rubber type speed bumps but there a high gradient nightmare

yeah, those rubber-y ones that are short and high are a nightmare. i can't get over them, i seem to be alright with all the other kinds though

flybikeslee - i dont over asphalt cushions (i work in a Village so i have to go over loads of lumps and bumps,lol) but these rubber ones are deadly,lol

yeah Andy same as fella, problem is, we have the rubber ones on both entrances to the business park, so im screwed really,lol Looks like alittle work into work now,haha

lol, yeah just a sh*tter when it rains. i seriously didnt think it would be that bad. when i get the Alloys on, will it raise it up abit?

well mine at the minute are 175/60/r13 Maybe 165/70/r13,lol (i think,there just the standard steelies) and im going 195/50/r15

My corsa is lowered 70mm on sports and still gets over speed bumps with no rubbing, have to go quite slow though.

Its illegal for a speed bump to be over 10cm so maybe if your hitting this one it is too big.

its on a private road (built by a developer) so you might be right mate. Iv just been out and looked under the car. the only thing that looks like it might it is a part in the middle (just behind the front tyres) looks like theres two nuts kinda circle in shape, Anyone know what that is?

you could un-do it, twist it so the bolts are at the side and then tighten the nuts back up?

if your getting 195/50/15's it may scrub a little bit, 195/45/15's and your onto a winner

I have to go over them with one wheel on the bump now...worse than a normal bump IMO
