A website that would tell me where a car is registered to by the numberplate?trying to track an old car of mine to see where it is, wouldnt mind buying it back but cant get intouch with the lad i sold it to, and he has since sold it on aswell.All the places iv tried just give me the vehicle details, which i obviously know.

you can get the details from the DVLA but they dont make it easy. theres a small fee to pay aswell iirc

No worries mate, Like i said , try your best any other way first as its a dodgy risk getting details but if you nedd them that bad its cool.
Akso, you have to write to DVLA, Doubt they'll send you anything through email. They need your intentions fo the details i.e Want to find old car to buy back. Then you required to send proof of ownership then they contact exsisting owner and ask for there permission to give you the details after they tell him why you require his details.
Genreally, If they know you want to buy the car back they will give the go-ahead as they might want rid anyway.

Yeah i explained in the e-mail why i needed the details, and i also put the details of when it was registered to me, my addres, full name birthday etc etc so hopefully they will take it seriously and not someone trying to get details for something dodgy.
