Its £18 and quite a large game in itself, not really that bad tbh.

but surely most of what you're playing now is gonna be the same with the full version? perhaps a few more tracks, a few more cars and a different mode?

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I know if i had a Ps3 I'd be buying prologue as I wouldn't be able to wait, but still pretty clever for the guys at sony to release the game several times per version.

No idea what the differences are tbh. I'm not buying the Prologue as I find driving games tedious enough as it is. But for £18 it's kind of like a game and should keep people pretty happy in the year they'll have to wait for the actual game. Which by the way wants to be a bit special otherwise people will be pissed!

Depends what they do with the network, if they rush it then it will be pointless online, if sony have some Gt5 dedicated servers then it will be alot of fun.

I play ut3 16 players on midway dedicated servers and its fine, fast gameplay.

Halo 3 allows up to 16 players. That seems to remain pretty successful online. What's the difference?

Halo 3 only has the movements of people moving in a linear style... so they move forward, backwards, side to side etc...

Car's move using vectors, so there may be a force of x pushing the car forward, but momentum / weight of the car pushing sideways etc, and the vector of the cars calculated route is constantly changing, along with the speed, direction (seperate to vector) etc etc...

If a player lags in halo, (when running) they may 'stutter a bit in movement', but it doesn't matter as they're miles away and you don't get penalised when 2 people bump into each other.

However, with damage / collision on, if 4 cars are travelling along next to each other closely and 1 lags, the lagging car (will cause the movement of the car to stutter or jump about) which will hit the cars around it despite them actually staying away from each other, so everyone gets smashed up due to lag.

16 cars = this is made worse.

The online mode, allows gentle touching but anything forceful you go through the car you are trying to nudge off the track.
