As above really! Going to view a car on saturday all the way in manchester, and its from a garage. Its a nice car, and quite a find... Any tips or tricks I should know before I go? I know that I shouldnt say I drove all the way from birmingham because it will seem like i'm desperate to buy... Any others

Best thing to do, go to Vagweb, check its help section (if it has one) and see if there are lots of certain issues i.e clutch going after xx miles, gearbox faults etc.

Then go to http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp and see what recalls took place on the model of vehicle, then when you go to look at it you can ask if its had all the stuff done.
