Not really a Porsche version of a Veyron, I guess that has been concluded by their performance figures?

I'd take the Posrche everytime, a third of the price and, despiote not being the best looking car in the world, it's still 100 times better looking than the Veyron which is fugly imo.

You say it like looking like the front of a normal porsche is a bad thing!

Deffinatley not as good looking as the Veyron. Matter of opinion though

From the side it looks ok. Simillar to an Audi R8. Just looks like Apollo 11 from the back

The back is open to help the airflow, which explains the rather unfinished look, and the whole car has the appearance of a 911 flattened out with a steak mallet

that explains the rear end.
the figure boast its in direct competition to the Veyron.....looks a lot less "everyday" to be travelling the distance in the Europe races....would be funny seeing JC's face get more peed off with it all!

someone posted about this the other week with a vid of it!

Proper silly quick! Quicker than a veyron at most speeds bar 0-60 i think, due to traction! It doesnt handle aswell as a veyron tho, apparently!

Yeah the bearded bloke from evo has tested it, someone posted the link from youtube.

It's stupid stupid quick but it's not something you'd want to do more than a few miles on a proper road in imo. Unlike the veyron.

thing is the veyron is about more than just the figures... the interior isn't like a stripped out racer, it's like a luxury car...

and the ride in the veyron is comfortable, so you barely know you're doing the speeds you are doing...

hmm...

Anyone can make a quick car, stripped out, with loads of power, harsh ride, rattly interior etc...

The Veyron instead is a car you could use everyday (if you wished) ... that's the point.

As such i can't imagine anyone wanting to travel long distances in that porsche, it'd be bloody horrible to drive daily.

That said i'd have a porsche gt3 rs over either mainly as I don't care about bling bling.

and I think you're missing my point.

The bloke who made this thread said...

'the next car top gear will use in their european race'

There's no way Jeremy would put up with driving that for miles across europe or whatever. The car's hes used before as comfortable / luxury supercars.

Mclaren SLR

Veyron...

in the same way he'd not go across europe in a ariel atom or that aston martin race car james may drove on that swiss trip. that 9ff gt9 is a seriously quick car, but can't be classed as 'better than a veyron' just because it's a few mph faster... the veyron is about so much more than just the speed.
