i thought i might post a bit of a warning.
friend recently payed for a subar engine build from what LOOKED like a genuine guy/company.

my friend has been dealing with the seller for a few months now, had some contact other than in the past 1/2months
last contact he had was the seller contacting him to say there had been a problem and the new engine/block had been damaged.
he decided he needed to do something other than phone/message so he went down today.
only to find there was some other company in the unit that my friend had an address for.
look out for him/them.
money was transfered to him via bank transfer so looking into what he can do to get the money back.
hate when this happens and he's a good mate of mine, had nothing but bad fortune recently.
any kind of help at all is greatly appreciated
if any one could post this up on any scooby forums that'd be great

Not to sound like an arse but why would he part with that amount of money over the net without going to see the guy, thats asking for trouble imo.

contact was made on the phone before any money was transferred so was no reason to believe it was any sort of scam.
he gave a genuine halifax bank account number and sort code.
he went down today so will be in contact with the bank and police asap.
i understand that people will question why the money was sent etc but he genuinely thought this guy was ok.
please dont flood the seller with email requests though as he may become wise and move on again.

Ebay is a badgers paradise.
People get away with too much on there site only for them to do nothing about it :@
I hope he gets some sort of refund
