My parents are looking at a new car (well my mum is) and they have looked at the Golf TSI, 5 door, 1.4 Turbo'd and Supercharged.

Does anyone know anything about these? or has anyone driven one

I had one as a company car and loved it. good acceleration and sounded good

however really boring inside, and quite dull. quite expensive aswell

to sum up, loved it as a compnay car, but if I had the money, there would be a lot of other cars I would prefer tbh

Cheers, she's looking at 4 different cars, has to be a 5 door, they are all around 20k

1 Series BMW M Sport 118d, or maybe 120d

Volkswagen Golf TSI 5 Door 170PS

Audi A3 Sportback S-Line 2.0 TDI 140 or 170 or a petrol model as she doesn't do many miles so i don't see the reasoning for a diesel

Seat Leon

TSi is meant to be really good, some VW mechanics were on about them at UD's!

The salesmen prefer it to the bigger engined models!

BMW 120d will be nicer though, lots of torque, and the MSport models looks quite smart!

The Compund charged engine is awful, hence the reason why it has now been discontinued.. VW now only fit a 1.4 turbo as a TSI.
