gone are the days when we used to skimp and save for a decent expensive set of aftermarket rims, now some oxidised alloys from a yesteryear shitter are considered satisfactory and cool

I've spent so much money over the years on alloys, lets see:
15" alloys for the Fiesta
17" TSW wheels for the Escort
15" TSWs for the clio
18" Wheels on my first MR2 turbo
17" Blitz Split rims for the MR2
15" Standard MR2 5 spokes for the 2nd MR2
17" Momo wheels for the second MR2
I can't be arsed with a set of shiny alloys, just a set of standard 15" Vauxhall wheels sprayed black will do me. Prefer subtlety anyway, that's why there is no kit on my car either.

They do me. Im not spending over £500 quid for a set of wheels when the car is worth a £1000 at a push!

People buy them as they are perfect offset and no matter how many times people say they look shit i thought they suited my corsa to a T. An they were the best wheels i have owned reguarding handling.
Just because a wheel is an expenspensive aftermarket wheel doesnt make it decent

where did I say that?
Fox are decent? If the rainsports were in good nick, they'd be worth it for the tyres, alloys could go in the bin.

So we are referring to speedlines as a decent expensive wheel now.

FOX wheels more old school than cav gsi's. and most of them are shite anyway.
this argument always happens. we all know that cav gsi rims and speedlines etc are common but so what. if it looks good why worry.
