Vauxhall are English, they are owned by an American company and all the current cars in the range are designed/built by Opel, who are German, unless the VX220 is still being built?

So, Vauxhall are British, they're owned by an American company, built/deisgned by opel which are German.
BUT, the Diesel engines are made by Fiat, but built in Spain.

The plants are all over the world. They're not re-badged either, they're built as Vauxhall in an Opel plant.

Same as the Astra factory in Ellesmere Port, there are RHD Vauxhalls and LHD Opels on the same line, brand difference and driving seat is just a configuration difference the same as what wheels it is having.

You can tell if you car was built in England or Germany (or somewhere near Germany) by the badge under the bonnet (black one) If it says Vauxhall on the top it was built in England if it says Opel, it was made in germany (or close)
They say the ones with Opel on were put together slightly better
