Hello all
Thinking of buying an Audi TT ultimately, but decided i should maybe stop pissing every penny i earn up the wall on 4wheel depriciation money pits. Sooooooo What could i get for around £8k?
Astra is a bit thirsty and im a bit fed up of the boy racer image tbh.
Stavs? Wanna buy it?
Been thinking about 182's cos they are new and cheap. Can get a 2/3year old one for £8k with no miles on it.
What else? Im old and boring so id like something comfy and refined please, wanted a merc mclass but since tax thing i know thatl never happen now
Suggestions please

id consider a diesel so long as it wasnt woefully underpowered.
U mean the s8? Dont "need" it and the interior was awfull. Id love one, but i think i might look a little silly driving one in a baseball cap and baggy chinos

Id love a 4x4 again, but not really an issue, id like to steer clear of anything FWD that isnt a small hatch.
I like big cars, dont do alot of miles, petrol costs are not a problem neitehr is insurance. Dont want it to cost a fortuen if it goes wrong tho!
Just keep thinking tt's are a tad much for their age!

TT
6years old tho, seems silly to spend more on a car the same age tbh

TT is more expensive becuase its a better car, TT it will still hold its value in the next few years while the Astra will soon become "Just an old astra" in the next two years IMO
Get a TT

S2K would be 8 years old (2000 model) for around £8-9k. Push it to £10k and get a really nice one

I suggest to go for a BMW coupe of some kind.
Its sporty, looks sophisticated, and hold their value well.
You'll probably come up with another thread in a years time wanting to change from the boring look though
