from a 99 plate x16xe, whats the standard rev limit??

as ive always thought mine varies, but on the M5 (south) thismorning, mine carried on past 7k...
as it was in 5th, i started to get scared and had to back off...

??

u manged to get it to over 7k in 5th? you must of been doing atleast 130, either your car isnt standard or the rev counter is laughing at ya! hehe

When i hit the limiter in 5th in my old x16xe, it was just short of 7. Speedo was on about 134.

can many of you guys hit the limter in 5th with x16xe i had mine up to a reading of nearly 130 but not sure it would hit the limter tho.

If you decat it yes.

The speedo is out about 10% so 133 is about 120.

The limiter is 6750rpm
Your rev counter may be out.

when i done the clutch on my sport i notice there wasnt a speedo drive or anything connected to the box, ? does it work of the ABS or something ? if it does will it give a better reading ?

I hit my limter in my old 1.4 sport, I thought it was the norm for it to hit it before redline? (mine had a decat and straight exhuast if that makes any difference?)

mine is dead on with a sat nav

must be the bigger wheels or something but it is perfect whatever speed im doing.

My speedo reads 100 when I'm doing 95, and is pretty consistant with that at speed
