The nova keeps fucking up, it broke down only 2 hours after having it back from Dave A for the second time knocking its tits up and the battery sparking like mad looking like its not earthed properly - my starter motor also stuck on live even with keys out of the ignition!
So im fed up - its too much hassle, hopefully i can get some money back as all my problems started after the rebuild.
I need some ideas on some cars that are pretty nippy and have good tuning potential.
My limit is about 3.5k (not bothered about pug gti's though)

any turbo can be reliable but its getting one that has been looked after and not just hammered into the ground and then sold on

I wouldnt worry I'd have a Veccy over an Ibiza Cupra any day of the week. This is all IMHO

i dont know.
But not being nasty, both times its gone to daves, its worked fine there, then after 3/4 hours of having it (this time only 2) it breaks down and is knackered.
Last time wiring was wrong causing sensors to be shorted, this time it sounds like its dropped a valve and is awful to drive.
I thought after the build it'd all be nice but it is fooked! So am considering new cars and getting a refund if possible through a SCC (small sclaims court), but preferably out of court.
we also found most rocker cover bolts were loose, and when we took it off to check (didnt change anything to affect warranty), cam cap bolts were finger loose!

Clean WIlliams can be had for 3.5k and it wont depereciate either howeve due to you bing 19 you may be better off with a Clio 1.8 16v 137 bhp and handles like its on rails.
Halfpint had a mint Naples one and that when I first got got hooked on them
I would actually love to own a Williams one day as a set of cams and you looking at sub 15 sec standing quarters
