TBH I Have never tried to tackle flame pink before. I would choose normal T-Cut for the job normally but I am sure that stuff will do the job

I have used the 3 stages on mine. Really pleased with the finish

Dunno about that stuff, but when I had a flame red corsa sport(many years ago) I used to use T-cut(not orginal white coloured t cut, but red tcut), cant remember the exact name but it was red and made a mess of all my cloths but was very good, still had to apply every few months but it worked a treat.

Hmmm, I thought that was the idea of the Paint Cleaner. Megs don't seem to do a paint renovator type thing

It may well do the job but Ive always used the T cut stuff. Just looked in my garage and I still have the stuff, dunno why as I havent had a red car since. Anway on the bottle it just says T-cut original colour restorer, its in a red bottle, still got the price on it, £7.69, just pop in to your local car place and ask if your not sure which one it is. no harm trying the meguiars stuff first though?

Will probably try it first yes. Going to test out all the stuff on the roof. If it's rubbish, then I've wasted £16. Not going to do the whole car because of the winter weather.

Just like all the other Megs stuff I've used.

Created the thread 'cause I know people have used the 3 stage stuff, but don't know with what intentions. To make their car look better or restore colour.

I did this to mine last week, what I did was wash car, then apply layer of t-cut.

Buff the t-cut off then apply autoglym super resin polish.

Came up a treat

People always slate T-cut, but its ok if you dont go over the top with it like use it every wash.

I'd use a bit of red colour fast T-Cut then polish it, then wax it to get a good seal on the fresher paint!

How I done mine when it used to be Flame Red

Hmmm ok. Got some Auto Glym Paint Renovator lying around, could try that as well.

I take it when you t-cut, the colour isn't properly restored until you apply the polish and wax?

As far as i know it is, but its not protected so would quickly fade again, the polish / wax would seal it making the red last longer.

T-Cut it will be perfect, but it then needs sealed or it will last no time at all until it goes back pink, due to not having any layers ontop of the fresh paint which you have just cut down to!
