o2

origianl deal was OK

£35 a month
£90 for handset

so I saved £180 in total

daft thing is i average 150 minutes and 160 texts, but to get a smaller contract the phone would ahve been £250+ so it worked out cheaper to get more minutes over all

cant wait to not worry about checking emails all day on it

plus get free wifi minutes at The Cloud thru work

theres a fair use policy, but no quota per month

so long as you dont take the piss you are fine. I wont be d/l much, just sync for emails and general web usage

good as my lass lives on a farm with no broadband so comes in handy

small print:

The Web Bolt On allows you unlimited use of O2 UK's Edge/GPRS/ 3G networks (as applicable to your handset), for personal internet use via your mobile phone. All usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not use your SIM Card:
in, or connected to, any other device including modems;
to allow the continuous streaming of any audio / video content, enable Voice over Internet (Voip), P2P or file sharing; or
in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other O2 customers
If O2 reasonably suspects you are not acting in accordance with this policy O2 reserves the right to impose further charges, impose network protection controls which may reduce your speed of transmission, remove the Web Bolt On from your account or disconnect your tariff at any time, having attempted to contact you first.

Unless it has changed in the past couple of days unlimited is unlimited, I asked the guys that sell it inside the o2 main office in glasgow, unless you have better information than that of course.

I know they are all idiots but i asked all the people I could, guys in the retail shops, guys in actual o2 building, guys that sell it and they all assured me it was currently unlimited, I wasn't in as a customer either so no reason to bullshit me.

If I find out its 200meg i'll kick up stink, only reason I got a brick of an xda was because of unlimited data(wasn't really, i got it because i got an amazing deal on the contract but still)

Where are you all getting the 200meg info?

Found something about this is normally expected to be under 200mb but they'll text you but no hard and fast rules.

I've been told that as long as it doesn't look like you're using it as a modem you're fine, i'm enquiring yet again just now though.

It's not totally unlimited though, its still subject to a fair usage policy of 200mb. ALL they have done is change the wording, nothing more.

Meaning you cant use it as a data modem and go mental.

spoke to a clued up guy and he said the 200mb has been removed FOR NEW CONTRACTS ONLY

also confirmed on www.3g.co.uk

nowhere in policy small print does the figure 200 appear, if they had a cap it would need ot be stated

You either get free web bolt on, pay £7.50 a month for it, or £1 per day if you connect (so if you connect 8 or more times in a month on different days its cheaper to buy a month bolt on)

The 200meg is on the o2 online in your billing and stuff, I found it last night.

Apart from using it as a modem though as far as i'm concerned it's unlimited, as I said, I asked everybody I possibly could.
