Ok, I have a 53 plate corsa 1.0 12v

Yesterday in Hull (90 miles away) it started over heating and no hot air was comming out the blowers.

Pulled over and had a look, pipe had come off the top of the water pump (small one that goes over the engine towards the back)

Found that a small plastic pipe about 2 inches long had snapped off, one end threaded into the pump, the other end smooth

Went to Vauxhall to get a new part, but they dont stock them. Been replaced with a metal peice instead, cool I thought - wont happene again

BUT the parts guy said the £2.87 metal part will not fit as its slightly bigger, and I now need a new water pump and gasket to fit the clip.

So a £2,87 replacement part will cost almost £100 in parts and god knows what for labour

Any other way around this? Not replacing a perfect water pump with a new one for just this

Thanks

If you bring me the pump I am sure I have some tipe of attatchment on the shelf that would sort out this problem, If not I dont think it will be hard to make one up.
