Nice attitude there, just shut your eyes and hopefully he won't put up the price of the things that affect you.

Plah????
Firstly- wtf is that word and what does it mean?!
Secondly, your comment implies your basically adopting a "sticking you head in the sand ostrich attitude" to things that may affect you. Hence the pic

yes we do, its known as a vote
anyone who has money should "give a fuck about it" as personal budgetting will change following the speech. i admit it wont change much in my life, i will still buy the same things, it will just cost me more, i doubt it would make me buy less.
which is why tax on fuel will never work. people will always have cars, cars will always require fuel....it could be £2.50/litre, we will still buy fuel as its cheaper than public transport - and still would be at that price (inflation etc) leaving less money in our pockets to spend on other things....less spending, less products bought, less VAT revenue, leads to fewer jobs required to sale fewer products, less earnt income, this leads agains to less tax.....country financial collaspe?

Thats why they increase fuel duty as part of a sustainable transport policy...i.e. increase fuel duty to get people out of cars whilst increasing quality of public transport, or increasing the incentives to use public transport or other transport policies such as car sharing, walking/bike use, etc.

i dont want to argue with you Cosmo. your point is spot on. i'm arguing with the Government, it costs more on a bus than it does in a car. it cost me ~£0.10 a mile in fuel, so to catch a bus home (3miles away) when i was at school cost me almost £2.....i cant see the sence in it personally
