was at beardys yesterday and was showing him how runny my oil was but there was none left
so he topped me up and then he noticed that oil was running from inbetween the 2 half of my inlet
i love the guy who has "rebuilt my engine" twice

He only took it back cos it was under warranty from the first time he got it done, I think that lasted around 5000 miles. The fella had it since about October, and Mark got it back a few weeks ago. He had trading standards involved since about the end of december.

just been up there
said the oil on the inlet is a sealing glue thing
and because the rocker cover is plastic it warps over time
i always thought that there was a gasket in between the 2 halfs of the inlet and that the rocker was metal

none of the block can be plastic else it would just melt! they sound like a bunch of cowboys...where was it mark? what garage?
There will just be a gasket between all the joins, and why would they glue it?? hmm...

Not good mate, hope you get it sorted!!
One reason I like to do most stuff my self, no one else to blame and the satisfaction of doing it. It might take longer but working on cars isn't rocket science and can be worked out easily enough. Hope to see you at the next meet!
