...and asked me would I put a small green box in my garden for the postman to put 2 bags in as theres nowhere around here to put a box so he says, and he'l give me £100 a year. I thought that was a bit of a cheeky offer as it would surely cost them more to have it on the public path? Told him id think about it, see if he offers me more

Anyone else had this before?

yes i work for royal mail, they put them in people sheds/garages etc

The reason why they ask people to have them in there gardens etc its more secure as a lot of them do get broken into thats out on the street

I used to work for RM and they often used members of staff houses or shops to leave bags of mail in as it saves them sending drivers round to drop bags off to the posties
My parents have a outside loo that they let the posty leave his bags in (and use if he needs it), doesn't disrupt them at all and they have started paying them for allowing RM to use it as a deposit point.

Id let him do it, but dont tell him you have a big fuck off dog that guards where he puts it. Must be worth it for the comedy value.
