i just got tax for my 1.4sri and it cost me £63 for 6 months, my mums car Y reg astra 1.4 was dearer then mine
she checked her receipt and it was definitly more than mine for 6 months
she said someone told its because her car was made after a certain year and goes on co2 emissions(sp?)
is she right or just been charged wrong?

£99 for 6 months on a 1.6 sport!! robbery!! its 50cc over the 1500ishcc mark so its a higher band. how much is 2l tax then?? im sure this is more economical than my 1.4, so shouldnt it be less?? i think so...
