was having a conversation about cars from america and the fact they are a lot cheaper than equivelent ones over here,, prob being most are left hand drive tho
but anywya anybody ever looked at getting one shiped over and know about the costs and taxs etc etc
was quite an intresting chat but we didnt know any real details

a mate of mine shipped one over last year....it was a big f150 pick up and he said shipping was £2500 with the import duty.

£3k (might have been $ - cant remember now)carriage inside a container for a dodge Ram. Then tax on top of that. Car had to be taken to dock & stuck into a container by the dealership (cost a bit extra) & under a certain small amount of fuel allowed in the tank etc they were quite strict, it wasnt a 30 min job, took a guy from the dodge garage a fair bit of his time seeing it off - deffo bot ur average sale. Also need an SVA on arrival before you can drive it.
