hello guys just wondering how much is a rs2000 engine worth now a days i hear they are quite rare.

Apparently the one i can get hold of is brand new, i have seen it and it is mint and the "place" reakons it was donated to them by ford a while back

and they are now looking to sell it

so how much is it worth?

If its Mk2 you could be looking at 5-6K (Got a ford head next to me in work, and that's what he said)

Depends whether it's standard or not and if it comes with any authentication.

Engine, not car

A mint Mk2 RS2000 would be worth more than 6k these days too, you'd be looking at 10 for a good one, 15+ for a spotless one.

Standard Ford RS2000 I4 engine would be worth about £900-1000 new, people don't use them, so you'd struggle to get mroe than that IMO.
