Its gonna take a while to get used to it.

I did exactly the same lol I was just watching youtube vids etc, its sooo hard just to even make a simple beat or something.
I dont think you can even import a song off ur pc and play around with it needs to be a certain format or something.

May have to take you up on the full version if i can get the hang of it cheers.

Hi, I'm a music producer so I thought I could give a couple of tips.

Fuity Loops is the best place o start off for sure. Despite your worries it is the easiest to get to grips with. For tutorials I would reccomend this website:
http://www.warbeats.com/Home.aspx
Have a look in the forum and there are lots of Fruity Loops tutorials and advice.

I started on fruity loops and i still use it a fair bit but i recently got a mac and logic which is just ridiculously good.

Garage/Bassline is not really a genre ive attempted but you check out my myspace anyway if you want. Its got a couple of tracks ive produced.

Your fucking unbeleivable mate. Really like your work, Really do.

Do you use keyboards or is that all just through your comp?

All the best with the Production and College, Can see you going far.

Wow! Thanks! Appreciate it. Right now its only on computer. I use a MIDI keyboard when wiriting stuff, but I have no other hardware. Its all logic and a stupid number of plug-ins. There really is some unbelievable pieces of software out there and its easier and easier to create great music without touching hardware, other than a computer of course.

Thank you

Im really into RnB producing (Username gives that away a bit) and have watched countless programs about American Producers etc. What people get wrong in my opinion is they try to hard and end up making the track too 'busy' to enjoy. What you have done is perfect , work well with the vocals and is very modern Club RnB. Sounds like Ne-Yo with the Synth you've used, Really like it.

Well done.

Thanks again! I know what you mean about business. Timbaland songs can be very busy but how he gets there just works. He just has an understanding of how different sounds compliment eachother and the vocals. Im getting there. its a difficult industry and so much of being producing requires experience. So im goin to have to be patient.

you know Taio Cruz? Hes a big influence on my music, album coming out in march which is going to be close to perfect in my opinion lol.

Timbaland is one of the best in the industry imo, He uses perculiar sounds and puts them in with 8-0-8 beats and they seem to work. What Timbaland does is uses everyday sounds with rare beats and pulls them together to get a unique sound.

Heard a few tracks from Cruz but not really into it, But i can see where the inspiration comes from, he seems to know what works.

Keep us updated pal, Good luck with the album. I admire your passion for producing.

I've spent years planning to but never got around to it. I have a friend who is an up and coming producer and he uses logic. I got hold of it, but didn't have a scooby doo, think i need to get a soundcard and more appropriate equipment.
