Hi there, I am new to the site so thought I had better introduce myself!
I am an IT technician so obviously hate computers now
I have a 5 door Corsa B which has been slightly modified, sometimes I love it, most of the time I hate it as I seem to be good at breaking things on it!
Here are some pictures, opinions are welcome. I already know it needs a debadged grill, this one was supposed to be a temporary one but just never got replaced!

Massive 1.2 engine!
The main reason for me joining the site is that I have been offered a x20xev engine
f20 gear box
engine done 85k with these parts fitted six months ago
recent head gasket
new cam belt, tensioner, and roller pullers
new water pump
new alternator
new lambda sensor
new cam shaft sensor
new crankshaft sensor
new leads and plugs
new thermostat
new water pump
new (2nd hand) wiring loom
ecu
vxr (z20let) fuel rail and fpr
engine runs fine with no knocks or strange noises
all for 175 or 350 to include a 6 month old lexmaul manifold
and need to know what else I would need in order to fit this into my little car!
I don't know much about cars, I will be letting a garage do the work but I want to get all the parts in advance!
Any help would be great! And opinions of my car are welcome too!

The engine came out of a Cav but not sure what it came from originally, I know people have fitted them in Corsas before and was told it uses same mounts as c20xe but then again the person could be wrong!

The filter is gone now, was a PVD one and when I fitted the alarm I didn't leave enough room to refit it with the siren and the cables were too arkward to move replaced it with a smaller k and n one now.
Cheers for the warm welcome!

If it uses the same mounts, and has an f20 gearbox, i see no problem.

Give rallyman a u2u, or look on http://www.chrisastleymotorsport.co.uk (may be .com)
Give him a u2u, as he sells engine mounts etc.

Welcome mate! I'm sure the XEV will use the same mounts. That's the 2.0 16v Ecotec found in later Cav SRi's isn't it?

Engine seller pulled out so now I am going to just get some coilovers and bigger brakes, then hopefully in the summer get a c20let if money permits!
Just got my headlight strobes, will be fitting this weekend as no MOT left
They will complement my grill lights and sirens nicely....yes I am that sad!
Got some sideskirts waiting to go on but need to modify arches to fit them, also going to get rear windows re-tinted as some are scratched/ripped and rear window isn't tinted.
Then its time to sort out the key marks as someone has done both sides all the way along
Any ideas for other easy thing to do? I'm a novice with cars!

MOT now run out so I have removed anything of value and parked it up for the week
Might give the arches a coat of paint, is it simple enough to do without removing them?
Recently my handbrake light has been flickering on when I go round corners at speed. Now it is on more often than not, I was told it may be brake shoes, is that correct?

And debadged grill is going to be this summer, everyone complains about the current one but I love it, I also loved my red boot but had to get it changed to please everyone!
Anyone know of a nice (not boy racer) rear bumper? I hate the current one!

Only problem I have is spraying it, I can't be doing with spray booth prices and the colour is quite rare so can't find any ready sprayed
